StarHorse results for spectroscopic surveys with Gaia EDR3: Chrono-chemical populations in the solar vicinity, the genuine thick disk, and young alpha-rich stars (Corrigendum)
Valentini, M.; Anders, F.; Chiappini, C. +16 more
The revised catalog is only available at the CDS via anonymous ftp to cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr (ftp://130.79.128.5) or via https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/676/C6
ALMA ACA Detection of Submillimeter Emission Associated with the Western Hot Spot of the Radio Galaxy Pictor A
Nakagawa, Takao; Baba, Shunsuke; Isobe, Naoki +4 more
In order to investigate the far-infrared excess detected from the western hot spot of the radio galaxy Pictor A with the Herschel observatory, submillimeter photometry is performed with the Atacama Compact Array (ACA) of the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array at Band 8 with the reference frequency of 405 GHz. A submillimeter source is di…
MEGASTAR - III. Stellar parameters and data products for DR1 late-type stars
Mollá, M.; Cardiel, N.; Gil de Paz, A. +5 more
MEGARA (Multi Espectrógrafo en Gran Telescopio Canarias de Alta Resolución para Astronomía) is the optical integral-field and multi-object spectrograph at the Gran Telescopio Canarias. We have created MEGASTAR , an empirical library of stellar spectra obtained using MEGARA at high resolution, $R=20\, 000$ (full width at half-maximum), available in…
The GALANTE Photometric Project: First results and the MUDEHaR extension
Maíz Apellániz, J.; Holgado, G.; Alfaro, E.
GALANTE is an optical (3000-9000 Å) photometric survey with seven intermediate/narrow filters that has been covering the northern Galactic Plane and some adjacent regions since 2016 using the Javalambre T80 telescope (P.I.s Emilio J. Alfaro & Jesús Maíz Apellániz). Originally designed to identify the majority of the early-type massive stars wi…
Planetary Exploration of Mercury With BepiColombo and Prospects of Studying Venus During Its Cruise Phase
Benkhoff, Johannes; Zender, Joe
Mercury and Venus are key planets for the understanding of the evolution of our solar system and therefore also for the question of how the Earth and life formed. In the case of Mercury, it is mainly because of its position among the planets. It is the planet closest to the Sun and experiences the harsh environment of the Sun the most. Venus is mo…
About the multiplicity of M dwarfs
Amado, P. J.; Caballero, J. A.; Reiners, A. +8 more
Stellar multiplicity is a common consequence of the stellar formation process. Low-mass stars are the prime constituent of the nearby stellar population, with late-type accounting for the majority of the hydrogen-fusing objects in the Solar neighborhood. The CARMENES input catalogue of M dwarfs (Carmencita) is a comprehensive and homogeneous sampl…
TYC 1417-891-1 and TYC 1478-742-1: Eclipsing Variable Stars. The Gaia EDR3 and TESS Photometric Data
Gigoyan, K. K.; Gigoyan, K. S.; Kostandyan, G. R. +3 more
Based on the TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) phase dependent light curves, we confirm the eclipsing type variability nature for two G-type dwarfs: TYC 1417-891-1 and TYC 1478-742-1. Both objects show EA (Algol-type) light curves morphology. Orbital period for TYC 1417-891-1 is P ≈ 8.0 day and for TYC 1478-742-1, P ≈ 13.6 day. We prese…
Discovery of eclipses in the cataclysmic variable ASASSN-V J090756.65+715859.5
Kozhevnikov, V. P.
I conducted photometry of the cataclysmic variable ASASSN-V J090756.65+715859.5 and detected eclipses that were not previously known. I observed 12 eclipses. Photometric data were obtained in two compact groups of nights separated by one year. Due to the large coverage of observations and due to the fact that all eclipses had a small scatter of po…
Hybrid Volcanic Episodes within the Orientale Basin, Moon
Harish; Patel, Shreekumari Mukeshbhai; Patel, Deep +2 more
Basalts from Mare Orientale are representative of lunar flood volcanism, which sheds light on the lunar farside's thermal and volcanic past. We use Chandrayaan's Moon Mineralogy Mapper data to examine the spectral and chemical makeup of the volcanic units located in the Orientale basin; the analysis specifically focuses on three formations: Mare O…
Variability in Early Post-main-sequence Stars in Globular Cluster NGC 3201
Villanova, S.; Parisi, C.; Cortés, C. C. +3 more
In this paper we study stellar variability in the globular cluster NGC 3201 in the magnitude range V = 16-17, corresponding to the subgiant branch and blue stragglers region of the cluster. Our aim is to expand the sample of new type of variables with low amplitude and a short period found in previous papers. We used observations obtained at the C…
