Higher order nonlinear parameters with Planck constraints
Takahashi, Tomo; Gong, Jinn-Ouk
We investigate how higher-order nonlinear parameters affect lower-order ones through loop effects. We calculate the loop corrections up to two loops and explicitly show that the tree contribution is stable against loop terms in most cases. We argue that, nevertheless, observational constraints on nonlinear parameters such as fNL and τ
Approach of spacecraft Rosetta with comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko nucleus - the first scientific results
Churyumov, K. I.
The first results of the study of the nucleus of comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko by Rosetta spacecraft are presented.
Interpretation of Cluster WBD frequency conversion mode data
Pickett, J. S.; Kirchner, D. L.; Christopher, I. W.
The Cluster wide-band data (WBD) plasma wave receiver mounted on each of the four Cluster spacecraft obtains high time resolution waveform data in the frequency range of ~70 Hz to 577 kHz. In order to make measurements above 77 kHz, it uses frequency conversion to sample the higher frequency waves at one of three different conversion frequencies (…

X-ray development of the classical nova V2672 Ophiuchi with Suzaku
Drake, Jeremy J.; Tsujimoto, Masahiro; Kitamoto, Shunji +1 more
We report on the Suzaku detection of a rapid flare-like X-ray flux amplification early in the development of the classical nova V2672 Ophiuchi. Two target-of-opportunity ∼ 25 ks X-ray observations were made 12 and 22 d after the outburst. The flux amplification was found in the latter half of day 12. Time-sliced spectra are characterized by a grow…

Calculated vibrational populations of O2 Herzberg states in the mixture of CO2, CO, N2, O2 gases
Kirillov, A. S.
Calculated in (Kirillov, 2014) constants are applied for simulations of vibrational populations of Herzberg states in mixtures of O2 with CO2, CO, N2 gases for laboratory conditions. Results show very important role of electronic-vibrational processes in redistribution of electronic excitation energy among vibratio…
Polarisation observations of H2O JK-1 K1 = 532 - 441 620.701 GHz maser emission with Herschel/HIFI in Orion KL
Menten, K. M.; Morris, P.; Teyssier, D. +9 more
Context. The high intensities and narrow bandwidths exhibited by some astronomical masers make them ideal tools for studying star-forming giant molecular clouds. The water maser transition JK-1K1 = 532-441 at 620.701 GHz can only be observed from above Earth's strongly absorbing atmosphere; it…
Nonlinear interaction of 3D kinetic Alfvén wave and whistler wave in solar wind plasmas
Sharma, R. P.; Gaur, Nidhi
In the present work, the nonlinear evolution of 3D kinetic Alfvén wave (KAW) has been investigated in solar wind plasmas. By taking the adiabatic response of background density the nonlinearity arises because of ponderomotive effects. The dynamical equations governing the dynamics of 3D KAW and whistler are obtained. We have performed the numerica…
Determination of coronal magnetic fields from 10 to 26R⊙ using the density compression ratios of CME-driven shocks
Moon, Y. -J.; Shanmugaraju, A.; Suresh, K.
Recently, the estimation of coronal magnetic field using new methods, such as standoff distance method or density compression ratio method has been reported. In the present work, we utilized the density compression ratio of CME-driven shocks for 10 events at 29 different locations in the upper solar corona (10–26R⊙) and determined the c…
