Ultraviolet Spectrum Variability of BP Tau
Bibcode: 2010OAP....23...46I

Ismailov, N. Z.; Alimardanova, F. N.; Baheddinova, G. R. +1 more

Results of the ultraviolet IUE archive spectrum researches of classic T Tauri type star BP Tau had been presented. Spectroscopic parameters of mainly strong emission lines were measured. On the more full massive which had been created on the intensity values of the emission doublet MgII λ 2800Å a variability with period P = 8.275 ± 0.005 days with…

Solar cycle variation of interplanetary coronal mass ejection latitudes
DOI: 10.1007/s12036-010-0014-9 Bibcode: 2010JApA...31..165G

Li, K. J.; Gao, P. X.

With the use of interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICMEs) compiled by Richardson and Cane from 1996 to 2007 and the associated coronal mass ejections (CMEs) observed by the Large Angle and Spectrometric Coronagraph (LASCO) onboard the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO), we investigate the solar cycle variation of real ICME-associated CM…

Heavily obscured AGN in the local Universe
DOI: 10.1063/1.3475325 Bibcode: 2010AIPC.1248..511S

Cusumano, G.; Moretti, A.; Vignali, C. +4 more

We present here a new powerful diagnostic plot to select heavily obscured AGN in the local universe by combining infrared (Spitzer, IRAS) and X-ray (XMM) information. On the basis of this plot, we selected a sample of X-ray obscured sources in the 2XMM catalogue and found seven newly discovered Compton-thick AGN candidates.

Probability distribution functions for the Sun's magnetic field
DOI: 10.1002/asna.201011378 Bibcode: 2010AN....331..585S

Stenflo, J. O.

Magnetoconvection structures the Sun's magnetic field cover a vast range of scales, down to the magnetic diffusion scale that is orders of magnitude smaller than the resolution of current telescopes. The statistical properties of this structuring are governed by probability density functions (PDFs) for the flux densities and by the angular distrib…

This document intends to help users to find information provided by the Cluster Flight Control and Flight Dynamics teams. Both teams deliver to the Cluster Active Archive a wide range of operations related information, which could be helpful as background information for science data processing. The products range from high level summary reports t…

Studying the Lunar-Solar Wind Interaction with the SARA Experiment aboard the Indian Lunar Mission Chandrayaan-1
DOI: 10.1063/1.3395916 Bibcode: 2010AIPC.1216..518B

Barabash, Stas; Holmström, Mats; Wieser, Martin +7 more

The first Indian lunar mission Chandrayaan-1 was launched on 22 October 2008. The Sub-keV Atom Reflecting Analyzer (SARA) instrument onboard Chandrayaan-1 consists of an energetic neutral atom (ENA) imaging mass analyzer called CENA (Chandrayaan-1 Energetic Neutrals Analyzer), and an ion-mass analyzer called SWIM (Solar wind Monitor). CENA perform…

A CME-ICME study using data from SOHO and Ulysses
DOI: 10.1063/1.3395894 Bibcode: 2010AIPC.1216..424D

Dumitrache, Cristiana; Popescu, Nedelia A.; Oncica, Adrian

We analyze the solar source of a CME occurred on 2 March 2002, the follow up of its travel through the interplanetary space and the characteristics of the ICME registered by Ulysses satellite.

Energetic Particles in the Cusp: A Cluster/RAPID View
DOI: 10.1007/978-90-481-3499-1_29 Bibcode: 2010ASSP...11..415A

Asikainen, T.

Energetic particles have been persistently observed in the exterior cusp by different satellite missions such as POLAR, Cluster-II, Viking, ISEE etc. Yet the source and the acceleration mechanism of these particles have remained unclear. In this paper I review our studies of energetic particles in the cusp and the nearby high-latitude region of cl…

The Digital Wave Processor (DWP) is the central control and data processing instrument for the Cluster Wave Experiment Consortium. DWP products in the Cluster Active Archive (CAA) provide a mainly supporting function for the rest of the consortium. This includes a time correction dataset which allows the standard timing accuracy of 2 ms to be impr…
