Ultraviolet spectroscopy of HgMn stars with IUE.
Leckrone, D. S.; Heacox, W. D.
The UV-spectrum of the extreme helium stars BD +10 2179 and BD -9 4395.
Schönberner, D.; Hunger, K.
Summary 0 0 UV-Spectrcgrams of BD+1O 2179 and BD-9 4395 have been obtained with the lUE-satellite, in the low resolution mode (full half width N 5 ). No emission features are seen. Quantitative (fine) analyses of 3 (blended) absorption lines based on model atmospheres as derived from the visual spectrum confirm earlier results. The carbon abundanc…
On the identification of celestial γ-ray sources
Massaro, E.; Scarsi, L.
THE observations from COS B have provided a new and more detailed picture of the high energy γ-ray emission from the Galaxy. We discuss here the first catalogue with 13 localised sources which has been compiled1,2 and how the list should lengthen in the near future, as the data analysis progresses.
IUE observations of the eclipsing binary Epsilon Aurigae
Hack, M.; Selvelli, P. L.
THE eclipsing binary Epsilon Aur is almost peculiar binary system and it has not been explained satisfactorily. We report here our observations of this system using the International Ultraviolet Explorer (IUE) collected at the Villafranca Satellite Tracking Station of the European Space Agency (SA).

X-ray observations of the variability of Cygnus X-1 in the high state.
Manzo, G.; Molteni, D.; Robba, N. R. +2 more
The ESA COS-B satellite has observed the Cygnus region in the energy range 2-12 keV, between November 28 and December 24, 1975. The Cygnus X-1 X-ray light curve for this period, during which the source appears to be in the high state, is reported; a search for a possible attenuation of the X-ray emission at the superior conjunction brings to the c…

Non-parametric pulsar analysis in the satellite reference frame for long duration experiments; application to the X-gamma ray synchronization of the pulsar NP 0532 as observed by the COS-B satellite.
D'Amico, N.; Buccheri, R.; Scarsi, L.
The paper describes a non-parametric analysis to obtain the phase histogram of a pulsar as seen in the satellite reference frame; the method requires only an approximate knowledge a priori of the pulsar period and of the position of the satellite. Results are presented on the derivation of the X-ray (2-12 keV) and gamma-ray ( E>50 MeV) pulsar p…
