Estimation of distortion on NEEMO system of telescopes
Birlan, M.; Nedelcu, D. A.; Trelia, M. +1 more
The article treats on astrometric measurements obtained using NEEMO system of telescopes and the improvement by applying a distortion model. Astrometric measurements for T05 show a stable value of residuals, independent of distortion model, while the measurements for T03 are improved by a factor three when use a quartic distortion model.
Some Kinematical Properties of Solar Motion Using Stellar Associations
Elsanhoury, W. H.; Elkhateeb, M. M.
In this paper, we have constructed many models of the Solar motion and the kinematical properties for a sample of 5100 main sequence stars; into which 1528 early types (B5, A0, A5, F0, and F5) and about 3572 late types (G0, G5, K0, and K5). The sample was collected with aid of Extended Hipparcos Compilation (XHIP) Cross references. Based on the sp…
Astrometry by ground-based telescopes for the Gaia mission
Tanga, Paolo; Thuillot, William; Carry, Benoît +1 more
The space astrometry Gaia mission is operating since July 2014 (Gaia Collaboration; Brown, A. et al., 2016; Gaia Collaboration; Prusti, T et al., 2016). As planned, Gaia detects many moving objects in its fields of view during its scanning process of the sky. Several months were necessary to tune the different parameters for filtering these object…

Photometric Study of the Eclipsing Binary VW Leonis Minoris .
Dumitrescu, Alexandru
VW LMi (HIP 54003) was discovered by HIPPARCOS/TYCHO as a W UMa variable. We carried out BV photometry of this star. A photometric solution is derived with the Djurasevic model. The binary, having the temperatures of the components approximately equal, is an overcontact system. Phase shifts of the light curve maxima were observed.
