Angular Clustering of Fir-Selected Galaxies in the Akari All-Sky Survey
Oyabu, S.; Takeuchi, T. T.; Pollo, A. +1 more
We present the first measurement of the angular two-point correlation function for AKARI 90-$\mu$m point sources, detected outside of the Milky Way plane and other regions characterized by high Galactic extinction, and categorized as extragalactic sources according to our far-infrared-color based criterion (Pollo et al. 2010). This is the first me…
Radio-AGN in the AKARI-NEP Field and Their Role in the Evolution of Galaxies
Im, M.; Karouzos, M.; AKARI-NEP Team
Radio-loud active galaxies have been found to exhibit a close connection to galactic mergers and host galaxy star-formation quenching. We present preliminary results of an optical spectroscopic investigation of the AKARI NEP field. We focus on the population of radio-loud AGN and use photometric and spectroscopic information to study both their st…

Cosmic Star Formation History and AGN Evolution Near and Far: AKARI Reveals both
Goto, Tomotsugu; AKARI NEP Team; AKARI All Sky Survey Team
Understanding infrared (IR) luminosity is fundamental to understanding the cosmic star formation history and AGN evolution, since their most intense stages are often obscured by dust. Japanese infrared satellite, AKARI, provided unique data sets to probe this both at low and high redshifts. The AKARI performed all sky survey in 6 IR bands (9, 18, …
Search for an OI Emission at 1304A in Jovian Auroral Spectra
Kim, Sang J.; Kim, Yong H.
Recent discovery of an Io-related features in Jupiter's auroral regions prompted us to search fot an OI multiplet at 1304 A in IUE aurora spectra. In three independent IUE spectra taken on January 18, 1981, we found an emission structure at 1304 A, with a signal-to-noise of about three. If the structure is due to the OI emission, then it is direct…
