We present new photometry and analysis of the twelve variable stars (nine RR Lyrae (RRL), three SX Phoenicis (SX Phe)) belonging to the Sagittarius globular cluster Arp 2. Of the nine RRL stars in the cluster, eight are RRab and one is RRc. From the RRab stars, we determined a mean period of < {P}{ab}> =0.581+/- 0.047 days, where …

A Detailed Investigation on the Infrared-excess Binary EG Cassiopeiae
DOI: 10.1088/1538-3873/ab3b9c Bibcode: 2019PASP..131l4201Y

In this study, new data concerning the EB-type eclipsing binary EG Cas are presented as observed using three telescopes in China. A spectral type of F0V was determined from the low-precision spectrum. By solving the radial velocity and BV light curves, the absolute parameters of this system are preliminarily deduced. The results imply that EG Cas …

The Gaia mission will provide a six-parameter solution for millions of stars, including a tridimensional map of our Galaxy. The estimation of distances has been made for the Tycho-Gaia Astrometric Solution (TGAS), while to contrast the proper motions it is interesting to consider positions from the different Gaia Data Release with older ones given…
