Discovery of Diffuse Hard X-Ray Emission from the Vicinity of PSR J1648-4611 with Suzaku
Haba, Yoshito; Matsumoto, Hironori; Sakai, Michito +2 more
We observed the pulsar PSR J1648-4611 with Suzaku. Two X-ray sources, Suzaku J1648-4610 (Src A) and Suzaku J1648-4615 (Src B), were found in the field of view. Src A is coincident with the pulsar PSR J1648-4611, which was also detected by the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope. A hard-band image indicates that Src A is spatially extended. We found po…

Detection of a 522 s Pulsation from the Transient X-Ray Source Suzaku J0102.8-7204 (SXP 523) in the Small Magellanic Cloud
Miller, Eric D.; Tsujimoto, Masahiro; Wada, Qazuya +1 more
During a routine calibration observation of 1E 0102.2-7219 in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), carried out in 2012 October for the Suzaku satellite, we detected a transient X-ray source at (RA, Dec) = (01h 02m47s, - 72°04m54s) in the equinox J2000.0 with a positional uncertainty of ∼1.4". We …
Erratum: Hard X-Ray Spectrum from the West Lobe of Radio Galaxy Fornax A Observed with Suzaku
Isobe, Naoki; Tashiro, Makoto S.; Seta, Hiromi +2 more
In the paper [PASJ 61, S327-S335 (2009)], there were two kinds of typos in the units of flux density and the column density. The correct unit of flux density at 1 keV employed in this paper is µJy not nJy, which appears in line 9 of abstract, line 29 of subsection 3.3, and row (d) of table 2. The correct column density in table 2 row (a) is …
Metals in the Intracluster Medium of MS 1512.4+3647 Observed with Suzaku: Implications for the Metal Enrichment History
Sato, Kosuke; Tashiro, Makoto S.; Ohashi, Takaya +5 more
The cluster of galaxies MS 1512.4+3647 (z = 0.372) was observed with Suzaku for 270 ks. Besides the Fe abundance, the abundances of Mg, Si, S, and Ni were separately determined for the first time in a medium redshift cluster (z > 0.3). The derived abundance pattern of MS 1512.4+3647 is consistent with those of nearby clusters, suggesting that t…
