86-GHz SiO masers in Galactic centre OH/IR stars
DOI: 10.1093/pasj/psaa040 Bibcode: 2020PASJ...72...63M

Messineo, Maria; Omont, Alain; Sjouwerman, Lorant O. +1 more

We present results on a search for 86.243-GHz SiO (J = 2→1, $v$ = 1) maser emission toward 67 OH/IR stars located near the Galactic centre. We detected 32 spectral peaks, of which 28 correspond to SiO maser lines arising from the envelopes of these OH/IR stars. In OH/IR stars, we obtained an SiO maser detection rate of about $40\%$ . We serendipit…

The Subaru-XMM-Newton Deep Survey (SXDS). VIII. Multi-wavelength identification, optical/NIR spectroscopic properties, and photometric redshifts of X-ray sources
DOI: 10.1093/pasj/psv050 Bibcode: 2015PASJ...67...82A

Ouchi, Masami; Simpson, Chris; Curtis-Lake, Emma +27 more

We report on the multi-wavelength identification of the X-ray sources found in the Subaru-XMM-Newton Deep Survey (SXDS) using deep imaging data covering the wavelength range between the far-UV and mid-IR (MIR). We select a primary counterpart of each X-ray source by applying the likelihood ratio method to R-band, 3.6 µm, near-UV, and 24 &mic…

Calibration of the AKARI Far-Infrared Imaging Fourier-Transform Spectrometer
DOI: 10.1093/pasj/62.5.1155 Bibcode: 2010PASJ...62.1155M

Nakagawa, Takao; Shirahata, Mai; Doi, Yasuo +16 more

The Far-Infrared Surveyor (FIS) onboard the AKARI satellite has a spectroscopic capability provided by a Fourier transform spectrometer (FIS-FTS). FIS-FTS is the first space-borne imaging FTS dedicated to far-infrared astronomical observations. We describe the calibration process of the FIS-FTS, and discuss its accuracy and reliability. The calibr…

AKARI Far-Infrared Spectroscopic Observations of the Galactic Center Region
DOI: 10.1093/pasj/61.3.511 Bibcode: 2009PASJ...61..511Y

Takahashi, H.; Nakagawa, T.; Okada, Y. +5 more

We have observed the Quintuplet- and Arches-cluster regions with the Fourier Transform Spectrometer (FTS) of the Far-Infrared Surveyor (FIS) aboard AKARI to investigate the physical conditions of interstellar matter around the clusters. The FIS-FTS mapping data reveal differences in the spatial distribution among the far-infrared [OIII], [NII], an…

A New Empirical Method for Estimating the Far-Infrared Flux of Galaxies
DOI: 10.1093/pasj/54.5.695 Bibcode: 2002PASJ...54..695N

Onaka, Takashi; Takeuchi, Tsutomu T.; Shibai, Hiroshi +1 more

We propose a new empirical method to estimate the total far-infrared flux of galaxies from the spectral energy distribution (SED) at wavelengths of λ <= 100 µm. It is difficult to derive the total far-infrared luminosity from only the IRAS data, though it is one of the most important properties of galaxies. Observations by Infrared Telesc…

ISO Observations of the Planetary Nebula Lindsay 305 in the Small Magellanic Cloud
DOI: 10.1093/pasj/52.4.619 Bibcode: 2000PASJ...52..619K

Tanabé, Toshihiko; Sauvage, Marc; Vansevičius, Vladas +1 more

We present ISO (Infrared Space Observatory) observations of the planetary nebula Lindsay 305 (L 305) in the Small Magellanic Cloud. L 305 is very prominent in the ISOCAM frames at 6.75 and 11.5 mu m, although it is under the detection limit at 4.5 mu m. The obtained spectral energy distribution shows a strong mid-IR excess, which, depending on the…
