Antimatter in the Universe: constraints from gamma-ray astronomy

We review gamma-ray observations that constrain antimatter - both baryonic and leptonic - in the Universe. Antimatter is probed through ordinary matter, with the resulting annihilation gamma-rays providing indirect evidence for its presence.
