Influence of Mid-infrared Galactic Bubble on Surroundings: A Case Study on IRAS 16489-4431
Liu, Tie; Wang, Ke; Dewangan, Lokesh +3 more
We studied the influence of a massive star on a mid-infrared bubble and its surrounding gas in the IRAS 16489-4431 star-forming region using multi-wavelength data. The Spitzer mid-infrared band images revealed the shocked nature of the bubble. Analyses showed that the bubble is developed by a massive star owing to its strong radiation pressure. Ev…
High-mass Star Formation towards the southern infrared Bubble S10
Vig, S.; Ghosh, S. K.; Ishwara-Chandra, C. H. +2 more
We present a multi-wavelength analysis of the southern infrared bubble S10. Radio continuum emission is detected towards the bubble at 610 and 1280 MHz, and the bubble is estimated to be powered by massive stars of spectral type B0.5 - B0. A Class I/II type source, with an estimated mass of 6.2 Msol, lies 7'' from the radio peak. Six massive clump…
