Abstract
From measured COS B gamma-ray data it is possible to derive the variation of the ratio of the galactic gamma-ray flux in the two energy intervals 70-300 MeV and 300-2000 MeV as a function of galactic latitude for two longitudinal regions. It is shown that this energy ratio is a good test to discriminate between a more proton and a more electron induced origin of galactic gamma rays.
