BVR photometric study and absolute parameters of the eclipsing binary AG LMi

Abstract

We present the CCD observations and light and radial velocity curves analysis for the eclipsing binary system AG LMi. Three minimum times of light curves were determined and used to calculate the orbital period's value as 1.3590 ±0.0001 days and a new epoch of the system as 2458141.2040 ±0.0002 days. The observed B, V, and R light curves and radial velocity (RV) data from Nelson (2020) were combined and incorporated into a new simultaneous analysis using the Wilson-Devinney code. The combined photometric and spectroscopic solutions indicate that the system is a detached eclipsing binary system that consists of two similar components with a mass ratio of q ∼ 0.983 . The spectral type of each component was estimated as F8, and the effective temperatures of components were calculated as T1 = 6240 ± 19 K and T2 = 6220 ± 21 K for the primary and secondary stars, respectively.
