Abstract

In a series of papers we investigate far-infrared emission from rich galaxy clusters. Maps have been obtained by ISO at 60 μm, 100 μm, 135 μm, and 200 μm using the PHT-C camera. Ground based imaging and spectroscopy were also acquired. Here we present the results for the cooling flow cluster Sérsic 159-03. An infrared source coincident with the dominant cD galaxy is found. Some off-center sources are also present, but without any obvious counterparts. Based on observations with ISO, an ESA project with instruments founded by ESA member states (especially the PI countries: France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom) and with the participation of ISAS and NASA.
