Abstract

A catalogue of IUE ultraviolet fluxes and calibrated plots for 36 metal-poor field halo stars is presented. The fluxes at 5 Å intervals cover the wavelength range λλ1155 - 3195, or λλ1955 - 3195 for cool stars. For all these stars absolute energy distributions in the visual are available in the literature. The purpose of the present collection of IUE data is to extend their energy distributions into the ultraviolet range, and therefore to provide a grid of metal-poor stars which can be used in the study of the population content of old stellar systems, over the widest possible wavelength range. The metallicity of this sample of stars varies from [Fe/H] = +0.20 to [Fe/H] = -2.70, and the evolutionary phases represented are the horizontal branch, the giant, sub-giant and sub-dwarf groups. The data are available on magnetic tape from the Strasbourg Stellar Data Centre.
