Abstract
The B1V star HD 102567, proposed optical counterpart of the X-ray source 4U 1145-61, has been observed with the two SWP and LWR cameras on board the IUE satellite in the low resolution mode. Observations were carried out on October 5 and 14, 1978 both with the small and large spectrograph's slits. The flux has been calibrated by using the new intensity transfer function. The ultraviolet continuum flux can adequately be fitted to the emergent flux from a model atmosphere having an effective temperature of about 22,000 K and log g = 4.5 in agreement with the spectral type of the star. The line spectrum shows the presence of a low density envelope around the star expanding with a terminal velocity of about 1800 km/s.
